Broadly, well-being can be understood as the presence of positive emotions and moods (e.g., contentment, happiness), the absence of negative emotions (e.g., depression, anxiety), satisfaction with life, fulfilment, and positive functioning. Put simply, wellbeing is about ‘how we are doing’ as individuals, communities and as a nation. Therefore, this theme covers resources, articles, and documents about the various dimensions of well-being as they apply to veterans and their families. This includes mental and physical wellbeing that is not included as diagnosable health conditions, life satisfaction and quality of life, sense of self and identity, day to day life experiences, social lives, and community.
